  • Islamic Finance Forum 2010

The combined blow of the financial crisis and the drop in oil price has limited access to capital for short-term lines of credit, as well as for long term investment requisites. For small cap enterprises, Islamic finance is a viable alternative to this credit challenge.

The event will highlight the UK's strength in Islamic finance and its place as the western centre of excellence. While Islamic finance transactions in the US have been limited, the first US sukuk issuance by Houston-based East Cameron Gas Partners in 2006 shows the viability of the US energy market for Islamic Finance instruments.

Some confirmed speakers include Gatehouse Bank, SJ Berwin, Rice University and others to follow.
