For small cap enterprises, Islamic finance is a viable alternative to this credit challenge. The event will highlight the UK's strength in Islamic finance and its place as the western centre of excellence. While Islamic finance transactions in the US have been limited, the first US sukuk issuance by Houston-based East Cameron Gas Partners in 2006 shows the viability of the US energy market for Islamic Finance instruments.
