On Thursday, August 27th, from 6:30 to 9 pm, the MBA Council of Houston and the Ivy+ Consortium will host a mayoral debate featuring the four principal candidates – Annise Parker, Peter Brown, Gene Locke and Roy Morales.

The debate will be moderated by Melanie C. Lawson, Emmy-winning Reporter and Co-Anchor of the 5 pm news on KTRK-TV, Channel 13. She has a joint degree in Law and Journalism from Columbia, as well as a BA in Politics from Princeton.

Preceding the debate there will be an informal reception with light food and drinks and an opportunity to meet and engage the candidates one-on-one. The debate will then take place in the Garrett-Townes Auditorium, Ground Floor, South Texas College of Law, 1303 San Jacinto Street, Downtown

There is a wide choice of parking – both garages and surface lots – in the immediate vicinity of the law school. Only 225 tickets – $20 each – will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
